Toysmith’s Tiny Toys

Teeny Tiny Tarot Deck

Created as part of Toysmith's Tiny Toy collection, the Teeny Tiny Tarot Cards combined playful design with a collectible format. Collaborating closely with the Art Director, I contributed to the early creative direction for the Tiny Toys brand before translating the established style guide into a complete product experience—from packaging and card design to production-ready artwork.

Sketching Process

Many of the illustrations, icons, and decorative elements began as hand sketches before being refined and vectorized in Adobe Illustrator. This process allowed ideas to evolve organically while ensuring the final artwork was clean, scalable, and production-ready.

Illustrations

This collection showcases the custom illustrations and graphic assets developed throughout the project, from hand-drawn concepts to vector artwork. It also includes explorations of logo lockups, barcode treatments, and supporting graphics used to build a cohesive product identity.

Packaging

From the retail packaging to the collectible card deck, every component was thoughtfully designed to create a cohesive product experience. The project included a 78-card illustrated deck, slide-out box and sleeve, retail packaging, CDU display, and a multi-page instruction booklet researched and written to guide new users through the basics of tarot.

Final Product

The completed Teeny Tiny Tarot deck represents the culmination of a collaborative creative process — bringing together illustration, storytelling, packaging design, and product development into a cohesive collectible experience.

Working closely with Art Director Sarah, we developed the visual language of the deck, thoughtfully exploring illustration style, character development, and the overall personality of the product. Sarah played a key role in shaping the artwork and card illustrations, while I helped bring the complete product vision to life through packaging design, production execution, and the creation of supporting materials.

Every touchpoint was designed with intention — from the 78-card illustrated deck and custom packaging system to the instruction booklet and final retail presentation. The finished product reflects a balance of creative collaboration, thoughtful storytelling, and detailed design execution.

Final photography showcases the completed deck as both a polished retail product and an immersive experience designed to inspire curiosity, reflection, and connection.
